Are you a cat lover? Purrfurably Cats Veterinary Hospital is looking for a dedicated, team-oriented RVT or Veterinary Assistant to join our practice. An ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who wants to develop and refine his or her technical skill-set.
Job Description include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and the ability to decipher medical records
Safe and humane restraint
Proficient in phlebotomy
Knowledge of appropriate sample handling, running test in-house, and sending out labs.
Experience with IV catheterization
Surgical monitoring
Basic drug calculations
Processing prescription request
Explanations of treatment, estimated, and invoices.
Effective at time management and ensuring the DVM stays on track
Able to triage incoming patients and respond accordingly
Radiograph techniques and safety
Maintain a clean/organized environment
Knowledge of Corterstone a plus
