JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, clean and service MST vehicles and facilities, perform other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Fueling, servicing and cleaning of all vehicles; cleaning and upkeep of all facilities including office, grounds, bus stops, benches and shelters; other service and janitorial duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction; familiarity with MST service area; ability to obtain Class B drivers license and to perform required duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Previous experience is preferred. Clean driving record; licensed driver for 3 years; must possess valid California driver's license at time of application and meet all qualifications specified by the State of California for a Class B Drivers License; In accordance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, must be prepared to offer documents to support employment eligibility. Safe driving criteria, as well as the number of DMV points within a prescribed timeframe, are used to determine if an application may be considered for further processing.

If hired, must pass a post offer pre-employment drug screening, DMV required physical examination and a Military Clearance background check; obtain a Class B instruction permit with air-brakes certification, or posses a valid Class B license, participate in random drug and alcohol testing as mandated by the Department of Transportation and join Local 1225 of Amalgamated Transit Union.
