JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, paints and maintains transit buildings, grounds, bus stops and other transit facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain bus stops, bus shelters, transit centers and administrative offices; perform painting, landscaping, clean up bus shelter trash, pressure washing and Vault duties; assigned to perform light construction such as transit signage installations and light carpentry; assigned to preventative maintenance duties; such as storm drain inspections, bus shelter garbage removal, graffiti removal, bus stop pressure washing, building/site inspections and must maintain assigned landscaping projects: including grass cutting and brush removal; assigned to perform parking lot paint stripping/curbs, paint benches, office walls and doors, and other painting assignments; operate a parking lot sweeper and forklift; assigned a truck and given tools to complete their work; operates a wide variety or power and hand tools; other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY & SKILLS

Must have base computer/software skills; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include "Close" vision, "Distance" vision, "Peripheral" vision, "Depth Perception" and ability to adjust focus; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle or feel; the employee is frequently required to reach with hands/arms and talk/hear; the employee is occasionally requires to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions; the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration; noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education/Certification: High School Education with minimum of two years of documented facility maintenance experience. Must possess a valid California Drivers License.
