LOCATION: SALINAS, CA
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Shop Welder will be responsible for welding material for different fabrications while producing high quality work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⢠Correctly and safely operate MIG, TIG, Arc, Stick welders, Plasma cutters
⢠Understand and be able to work with hygienic designs of equipment and machinery
⢠Work with black metal and stainless steel
⢠Work a schedule of Monday to Saturday
⢠Maintain a neat and organized work area free of safety issues
⢠Operate light and heavy power tools
⢠Other tasks may be assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
⢠Valid California Driver License
⢠DOT awareness of rules and regulations
⢠Previous welding experience (helpful but not necessary)
⢠Working with hand and power tools
⢠Performing strenuous physical work
⢠Working as a team as well as independently
ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
⢠Efficient at reading blue prints and schematics
⢠Ability to work in cold temperatures such as in a cooler and open environments
⢠High attention to detail and precision
⢠Works well under pressure while maintaining high quality standards
⢠Excellent time management, prioritizing work, and multitasking
⢠Taking initiative and staying productive
⢠Self-motivated
⢠Reliable and punctual
