The Marketing and Sales Director is responsible for planning, developing, directing and coordinating of all aspects of selling and marketing the independent and assisted living residences for Forest Hill, a senior living community located on the Monterey peninsula. Responsibilities include direct sales, managing team performance as well as the lead generation program through advertising, referral development and event programs.

Forest Hill embraces a culture of hospitality with a wellness focus to promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.Essential Job Duties:Responsible for meeting personal and team performance goals by managing sales activity to ensure sales and closing goals are metUses Direct Sales Performance Indicators (DSPI) to set goals and diagnose areas of strength or needed improvement.Plans, develops and executes all aspects of community independent living occupancy development, including annual marketing planning, in collaboration with Senior Housing Marketing and Sales team membersFully executes the sales, marketing, referral and advertising objectives and strategies as outlined in the annual marketing planDevelops and manages the Promotion and Sales budgetEnsures timely and accurate input as appropriate into Sherpa or other community specific systemsMaintains effective communication with the Executive Director and other leadership team membersEnsures that all prospect inquiries are managed and that timely follow through is maintained in accordance with designated time framesSupervises the performance of Residency Counselors, Marketing Assistant and other team members and actively engages in coaching activities to enhance team performanceStaffs the office to meet business needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidaysPrepares and maintains accurate and timely reports as requiredStays updated about relevant operational, competitive and company information in order to respond effectively to prospect inquiries and community contactsAdheres to CNMH / CRSA standards as identified in the Senior Housing Marketing and Sales Quality Assurance ManualMaintains consistency with community and CNMH / CRSA brand by following logo usage guidelinesWorks with team members to plan and execute seminars and events as identified in the marketing planSelects, trains, evaluates and counsels department personnelManages advertising agency and advertising planAttends and leads in-services and community training sessions as neededParticipates as an active member of the community leadership teamAssumes responsibilities for personal work areas and maintaining areas in a presentable mannerImplements best practices in the marketing office and influences hospitality focused environment throughout the communityMaintains a professional appearance at all timesSkills/RequirementsMust demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone. Must be an effective presenter with both large and small groups.Must be able to utilize digital technology to offer presentations when on site meetings are limited due to restrictions from a pandemic such as Covid-19.A Bachelor’s degreeTwo years sales experience or public relations experience necessarySupervisory experience and/or capabilitySkill in use of computer software including Microsoft Office applicationsMust be able to generate a warm, friendly and caring manner on first impressionMaintains working knowledge of regulations that impact the industryExperience developing / maintaining a department budgetPosition requires California Department of Social Services mandated criminal record clearance by fingerprinting.
