A Santa Cruz-based digital agency specializing in digital strategy/social media marketing, design and video and multimedia production is seeking a new Project and Social Media Assistant. Chime Interactive provides digital strategy services, website design and development, along with a suite of video and multimedia production services, primarily in the music and arts industries.
This position includes work in office as well as from home. The role of Project and Social Media Assistant at Chime Interactive will support the Chime team in content creation, sourcing, posting and project managing the business (including remote team members). 10 hours/week with room to grow.
The right candidate will be self-motivated and have the following qualifications.
SKILLS required:
-Project management experience
-Prior experience running social media accounts for businesses
-Strong understanding of all major social media platforms and best practices for each
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are both professional and friendly
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to take initiative and make things happen
-Efficient time management and organization skills
-Basic website management skills (Wordpress & Drupal are a plus)
-Basic image editing capabilities
-Working knowledge of Google apps (drive, sheets, docs)
ADDITIONAL SKILLS are a plus:
-Experience with digital advertising + paid social
-Wordpress new website development
-Programming (PHP / MySQL / Wordpress / Drupal)
-Video Editing
TASKS include:
-Posting content directly to client's social media channels
-Developing original post content, gathering content, and engaging with artist's following
-Mining the web for related client news to share
-Assisting with website updates and copywriting
-General admin and project management
