We are foundry located in Ryan Ranch Monterey California. We are looking for experienced wax room worker to assist with production.
Basic Job Function
Chases and corrects all wax pieces so they conform with quality requirements and prepares to be transferred to the gating department.
Reports to Team leader/ Production Manager
Job Duties
Assess the piece when it is taken out of the pour and making sure the piece is usable.
Correct any seem lines and defects in the wax. Pays particular attention to the categories noted on workshop traveler. (face and fingers, weld, texture, position)
Fills in all air bubbles and positive bubbles.
Does not work on a piece without using the hard copy as reference.
Clocks workshop traveler when starting and finishing a piece.
Keeps all stations clean and spotless at all times. Ensures there is a proper storage place for all tools and materials and that they are always there, except when being used.
Keeps all tools clean and in superior working order and only uses tools and materials in accordance with safety instructions.
QCing finished waxes and signing off on the blue dot located on the workshop traveler.
Update the screen with date the piece was taken to gating.
Operate in a safe and efficient manner all wax equipment and related tooling.
Perform proper cleaning, handling and storage of wax molding tooling.
Inspect wax patterns for acceptable quality criteria.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly maintenance duties.
Adhere to plant and department safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, with ability to work with hands and possess good hand-eye coordination.
Lift and/or maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed.
Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks and various lifting devices.
