Job Summary:
The Development and Marketing Assistant plays equally important roles in the presentation of the Festivalâs brand, messaging, and fundraising initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing
+ Create and maintain web and social media content
+ Assist with the design and editing of print and digital marketing materials
+ Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications on the creation and presentation of the Festivalâs branding
Development:
+Assist in database management and donation processing in Bloomerang
+Assist in planning and execution of events such as the gala, donor receptions, and post-concert receptions
+Provide administrative assistance by preparing materials for events, fundraising campaigns, and various projects
+Assist the Development Coordinator in any special fundraising initiatives
+Provide support in database maintenance and communications via email and phone
Administrative
+Support the Box Office Manager by providing phone support and ticket processing through Vendini Ticket Agent
+In collaboration with the Executive Director, assist in various projects and reporting
Skills and Requirements:
⢠Exceptional attention to detail
⢠Proven excellent verbal and written communications
⢠Experience using social media effectively, with special focus on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
⢠Analytical skills and problem/conflict resolution
⢠Highly developed organizational skills
⢠Ability to independently multi-task within a fast-paced environment
⢠A driverâs license with good driving record and have reliable transportation to accomplish work objectives
⢠Work a nonstandard work week, work evenings or night shift hours, and/or provide coverage for other positions, shifts, or functions as needed
⢠Ability to lift 25 pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet
Preferred Skills
⢠Graphic Design, Database Management, Event Support, Copy Editing, Superior Excel Knowledge
Education: Associates Degree in related field required; Bachelorâs Degree preferred.
Experience: One to two years of work related experience
