Connections Family and Behavioral Services is seeking a Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to work in Salinas and Monterey

We are currently looking for a dedicated, creative, enthusiastic Marriage and Family Therapist to join our practice. If you're interested in an intellectually challenging and rewarding career where you can help change lives for children, adults and families with exceptional diagnoses, this position is for you. Our exciting and growing team is dedicated to working with children and adults with Autism Spectrum, developmental, communication, learning issues and special needs. Hours are flexible and likely to start light, but to grow to full time.

This position provides the best of private practice and agency work; it has both the private practice setting and clients with difficult diagnoses and highest socio-economic need. Make a difference in your community.

Emphasized modalities include CBT, play therapy, Relationship Development Intervention techniques, mental health and developmental assessment and family systems, among others. A passionate curiosity and drive to help others is key.

Job Overview and Qualifications

Masters degree in marriage and family therapy, psychology, or comparable field required. BBS registration also required.

This position will start part time but can become full time. The ideal candidate will be seeking a long-term opportunity, desiring to grow with our company. Your strong work ethic, ethical integrity, ability to work independently and as a team, and strong diagnostic skills will lead to your success. Essential Duties:

Utilizes clinical best practices to conduct screening, intake and assessments to determine the client's needs develop treatment goals.

Performs counseling services with clients and their families through individual, family and group therapy. Employs evidenced-based practices grounded in Connections Family and Behavioral Services methods.

Provides crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, case management and referral services for assigned individuals and families.

Maintain current notes and billing to ethical and professional standard

Flexible work schedule may be required including evenings and/or weekends, based on client/program needs.
