THE COMPANY:
Social Vocational Services (SVS) has been serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout California since 1977.
THE POSITION:
We're looking for a Personal Support Specialist to join our Salinas day program. This position offers full time & flexible scheduling for successful applicants.
⢠To provide one-to-one training or adaptive services to a specific client enrolled in the Day Program.(including, but not limited to: paid work, social skills building, art, recreation, volunteering)
⢠Develop & monitor individual client plans within the Program.
⢠Assist with personal hygiene needs as needed.
⢠Assess, evaluate, implement and chart client's progress on goals and objectives
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
⢠High school diploma, GED or equivalent
⢠Good driving record and valid California driver's license
⢠Must obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
⢠Must pass post-job offer job-related physical exam including TB test
⢠First Aid/CPR certification (SVS will provide)
⢠Effective written and verbal communication
