Field Sampling Technician (Agriculture Based Salinas CA / Yuma AZ) (Salinas) March 2019

Job Description:
Individual to perform in all weather environmental for collection of water, product, soil, and pesticide field-sampling services. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to read, write, and absorb technical information. Position requires safe operation of sampling vehicle, basic computer knowledge and critical sampling techniques. One year experience in agriculture or college. Bilingual a plus.
Major Duties:
1. Drive to and from customer produce fields and/or processing facility for collection of tissue samples
2. Collect samples as for Microbiology testing
3. Maintain required sampling chain of custody documentation
4. Develop sound relationships with local Microbiology laboratories and existing and new customers
5. Communicate with sales team and operate cell phone and/or computer and GPS
6. Familiar with McDonald, Ready Pac, Yum Brands, LGMA sampling metrix
7. Maintain vehicle up to code and supplies
8. Position also is seasonal 6-7 month in Salinas, Ca and 4-5 months in Yuma, Az
Salary: Training $700-$800 weekly
Post $1100-$1200 weekly
