Local Monterey general contractor is seeking highly motivated Journeyman Carpenters and Carpenters to join our company. We specialize in high quality residential construction and take great pride in our work.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Installing foundations and forms and various structural aspects of building
Framing Carpenters: Installing wood framing, blocking, backing, and roof truss components, reading and understanding blue prints and schematics, using hand and electric tools to cut and fabricate and install framework components
Trim/Finish Carpenters: Installing baseboard, staircase, standard trim, custom trim, crown molding, architectural finish packages, decking, doors, windows and siding
Skills, Knowledge, Equipment & Other
Basic ability to understand documents, define problems and draw valid conclusions.
Requires ability to perform math computations needed in trade; basic building code knowledge as it relates to work in the related trade.
Requires knowledge and skill in the use of hand power tools in the related trade.
Able to lift 80lbs
Provide own hand tools
Reliable transportation

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; and high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Must be able to climb ladders onto raised areas and be able to work from scaffolding, able to set-up and safely operate various types of woodworking machines and electrical hand tools.
Experience
Requires a minimum of 3 years experience
