We currently have an opportunity for a Fleet Manager.
Position summary:
Supervise 12 over the road refrigerated semi-trucks, and 15 local refrigerated straight trucks. Work closely with our dispatch staff, mechanic shop, and owners
Responsibilities:
⢠Management of complete fleet of trucks
⢠Insure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and other regulations
⢠Set weekly work schedule for over the road and local trucks
⢠Coordinate with dispatch dept. on daily basis
⢠Coordinate with maintenance to keep fleet compliant with regular required maintenance
⢠Oversee payroll
⢠Perform accident reviews
⢠Develop and maintain driver recruitment program
⢠Provide owners with weekly cost analysis
Abilities and skills required:
⢠Excellent communicator
⢠Great relationship builder
⢠Great negotiation skills
⢠Self-starter ability to work independently
⢠Ability to multi task and work multiple problems simultaneously
⢠Proficient with Excel and Word
⢠Decisive decision maker and problem solver
⢠Strong math skills
⢠Ability to speak Spanish a plus
Qualifications:
College degree or previous experience in fleet management
Willing to train if background experience is similar
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 DOE
