POSITION PURPOSE :

Through aconstructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company, theOperations Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and visionnecessary to ensure that the facility has the proper operational controls,administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectivelygrow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operatingefficiencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES :

Directsand manages facility operations.

Implementscost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower,wages and salaries.

Managescapital asset maintenance. Controls andminimizes operating expenses.

Maintainsexisting facilities and equipment; replaces, or makes adjustments to warehousefacilities and equipment when necessary.

Spearheadsthe development, communication and implementation of effective growthstrategies and processes to allow company to achieve and surpass sales,profitability, and business goals and objectives.

Assumesresponsibility for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes. Provides timely, accurate and completereports on the operating condition of the warehouse as required.

Collaborateswith the management team to develop and implement plans for the operationalinfrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel, designed to accommodatethe rapid growth objectives of our organization.

Motivateand lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and retainrequired members of the team as needed;

provides mentoring as a cornerstone tothe management career development program.

Fostersa success-oriented, accountable environment within the warehouse.

Worksto develop and maintain productive business relations with vendors, suppliers,and all business partners.

Ensuresthat OSHA requirements are effectively implemented.

Ensuresthat both the inside and outside of Warehouse facilities are clean and orderly.

Ensuresthat forklifts, trailers, trucks, stackers, ladders, pallets, shelves, andWarehouse machinery are in Safe operating condition.

Conductsperformance appraisals. Providesmeasurable feedback to assigned personnel and suggestions for improvedperformance.

Formulates and implementsemployee corrective actions as needed.

Ensurescompliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, as well as all company policies.

Performduties in accordance with HazardAnalysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food(SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS :

MaintainCost efficiencies with regard to budget management.

Allservice, productivity, accuracy and safety targets are well coordinated anddelivered in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Compliance withall Federal, State and Local laws.

Inventoryrecords and documents are current, accurate, and well organized.

Machinery,equipment, and systems are in good working condition and preventive maintenanceis performed as scheduled.

Effectivehiring and retention of a motivated workforce assures personnel are effective,efficient, and optimally utilized.

Maintains a positive internal and externalcustomer relations.

Managementis informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION :

BA / BS degree, or equivalent preferred.

REQUIREDKNOWLEDGE :

Excellent understanding of inventorycontrol and management procedures.

Understanding of Company operations.

Knowledge of budgeting, supplycontracts, and shipping requirements.

EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :

Five or more years of relatedexperience, with at least two or more years of supervisory experience.

SKILLS / ABILITIES :

Excellent leadership abilities.

Able to organize, coordinate, anddirect team activities.

Strong problem solving skills

Good communications abilities.

Able to use all related maintenanceequipment and computer applications.
