Randstad is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer that will help us mature the capabilities for the organization to more broadly and efficiently leverage cloud services safely, securely, and efficiently at large scale in support of our goal to

enable the business for competitive growth. This individual will be part of a team of world-class cloud engineers and will act as a DevOps/Site Reliability engineer to build and maintain a cohesive set of pipelines, API-driven

integrations, and service catalog-enabled infrastructure as code. The individual will support the engineers and stakeholder community to ensure consistent and secure usage that provides capabilities for the business to leverage cloud services in a compliant and efficient manner. The successful candidate will have proven experience in achieving these goals in a large and highly distributed company. They should be a team player, great communicator, insatiable learner, and security focused.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience



  • BS in Computer Science and/or Engineering, or equivalent experience and certifications
  • 2+ years of experience in an applicable cloud, infrastructure, or software engineering role
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying code in a CI/CD toolchain using gitops workflows
  • 2+ years of demonstrable hands-on experience writing Infrastructure as Code in a DSC such as Ansible,
  • Adept in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Node.JS.
  • Experience with bash or PowerShell
  • Experience working as part of a Scrum or Agile team
  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Preferred: Adept at the command-line interface to at least one major cloud service, preferably AWS CLI
  • Preferred: Experience writing Terraform
  • Preferred: AWS or Azure Certifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

? Develop code and scripts to automate and streamline CloudOps workflows in AWS and Azure

? Build and maintain library of secure and compliant Infrastructure as Code in Terraform and golden machine

images for consumption by application developers

? Support stakeholder community and users of cloud platforms, perform incident response, troubleshooting,

and root cause analysis.

? Develop automated remediation capabilities to detect and resolve incidents proactively

? Adhere to proper change control processes, and leverage GitOps workflows to manage changes

? Develop and monitor operational, health status, and compliance dashboards; proactively resolve concerns

before they become incidents

? Implement event-driven automations on cloud-native tooling (e.g. Lambda, Step, etc.) to respond to

incidents

? Collaborate with teams reviewing design and test plans to ensure operational readiness and alignment to

standards, determine potential gaps, and alternative solutions.

? Fulfill incoming requests and resolve incidents for cloud services

? Look for and recommend cost optimization opportunities

? Build and maintain tracking dashboards for various metrics (e.g. compliance scores, cost optimizations,

invoicing, etc.)

? Provide PL Cloud Leadership monthly reports on activities, trends, and concerns

? Develop documentation and keep wiki updated; attend and lead periodic training sessions to help teach

others on cloud platform usage
