Job Description Title: Sr. Application Analyst / Developer Location: Newport Beach, CA Ekman Associates, Inc. is a Southern California based company focused on the following services: Management Consulting, Professional Staffing Solutions, Executive Recruiting and Managed Services. Summary: The Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications, Dynamics CRM, CRM Portals and PowerBI reports. You will work with other analysts and the business stakeholders to create high performing enterprise systems that improve the internal performance and market position of the company. Utilizing AGILE and Waterfall methodologies, the Senior Applications Analyst will oversee a solution development through the entire SDLC, from requirements gathering, design, development, validation, deployment and support. As the CRM/Portals Developer, you will report to the Director of IT and will be accountable both for developing new and sustaining existing applications. The applications leverage a variety of technologies that require knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM, Portals, PowerBI, Azure services, relational databases and web-based platforms. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to perform requirements gathering, solution development, configuration, deployment and support in a fast paced, high performing environment.
Maintain a detailed understanding of business process, dependencies and related systems.
Write clear, concise, consistent user stories which accurately decompose high-level concepts and requirements into detailed, workable deliverables
Develop reports, dashboards and other analytical solutions using CRM Portals, Power BI and MS Power Apps.
Monitor ETL processes and take corrective action as necessary.
Coordinate and/or execute user acceptance testing prior to production implementation of new software or updates to existing software and systems.
Regularly review and recommend improvements and changes applications and processes.
Facilitate open and clear communication and coordination
Report time and track tasks
Perform other business tasks or functions as assigned
Qualifications:
At least 5 to 7 years in a recent Applications Analyst or Software Development role
At least 5 years MS Dynamics CRM, CRM Portals configuration and customization experience. Preferably in a lead A MUST
At least 1 year PowerBI development experience
Energy industry experience a plus
Clearly communicate technology issues to business partners and business issues to technologists
Demonstrate effective facilitation skills in both one-on-one and small group settings
Work effectively and interact with all levels of the organization
Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Can conceptualize, apply, analyze, synthesize and evaluate information to determine solutions
Question assumptions to ascertain their validity and evaluate appropriate solutions
Exhibit the ability to be flexible and work in a rapidly and constantly changing environment
Demonstrate planning skills with a high attention to detail
Required Technical Skills:
Competence in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint
Development and configuration experience:
Dynamics 365 CRM – A must
Dynamics 365 / Power portals – Strong preference
Power BI – Strong preference
MS Power Apps – a plus
Development/Configuration Experience Power BI, MS Power Apps, Dynamics 365-CRM/Portals a must
