RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Engineer/QA Engineer in Newport Beach, CA.
Key Tasks:
Systems Engineer/QA Engineer will work closely with Development and QA teams to help ensure end-to-end system quality
Optimize processes and tooling to move us to zero defect and technical debt systems
Motivate and influence other technologists to build quality into systems (Defect prevention over defect detection)
Embed TDD and shift-left testing into the development cycle allowing for continuous automated testing
As a Systems Engineer/QA Engineer, you create visibility and deepen collaboration during development to ensure more reliable releases
Leverage CI/CD processes and tools to automate testing and deployment and build pipelines
Lead coordination with application groups to suggest continuous improvements to CI/CD pipelines
Build, maintain, and scale testing infrastructure as needed
Systems Engineer/QA Engineers develop tooling and processes to drive and improve customer experience and provide business value
Promote automation from beginning to end of development and deployment
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of overall IT experience
Strong analytical skills
Experience with automation frameworks
Experience with code repositories and version management
Experience with configuration management
Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and operations concepts
Embraces challenges and provides innovative solutions
A desire to learn new skills and look for continuous improvement
Experience with at least one programming language like Java, Python, C#
Experience with open source technologies like Selenium, JMeter, Maven, Jenkins
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Be a team player as well as a team leader
Experience with AWS, Azure DevOps Tools, Containers is a plus
