DescriptionAccountemps is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team in the Amusement/Recreation Ser/Entertainment industry for a short-term temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant position offers you great experience and a strong compensation and benefits package and is based in the North Hollywood, California area. Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Ready monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Ad-hoc projects as required
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
RequirementsEfficient in ERP systems
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
7+ years of overall general accounting experience
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
General ledger experience
Proven knowledge of fixed assets
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired
Adjusting Journal Entries experience
Journal entries experience
If you are proficient with financial reporting systems, you could be a good fit for this position
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
