You will join a team responsible for the instructional design of eLearning and instructor-led courses as well as coordinating and owning the delivery of education for our technical employees.
Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing needs assessments for the Engineering Education program with engineering stakeholders.
Develop courses and integrate them into the existing curriculum.
Identify when resources/materials are not in place to support course work, and coordinate or produce these resources/materials with the wider engineering team.
Deliver scheduled classes in the HQ and remote offices in the surrounding area when required.
Deliver training using approved materials and in partnership with SMEs.
Deliver excellent presentations, both business­ and technical focused.
Meet or exceed established monthly training scores. Constantly strive to improve instruction through self-analysis.
Helps evaluate new tools, vendors, and techniques for potential inclusion in the Engineering Education Program.
Coordinate with general Talent Operations Team, instructors, and support teams to ensure a positive and exciting experience for attendees in all tracks.
We are looking for a self-starting and proactive Lead to ensure that course creation deadlines are met, the Learning Management System is maintained, and instructor-led classes are delivered.
This work includes meeting with new hires one-on-one to establish rapport and collect insights into friction areas of the Engineering Education program leading to opportunities for improvement.
You will also help in maintaining existing course materials (workshop decks, videos, code samples, guides, sites, etc.) in partnership with multiple internal stakeholder teams from different subdivisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Learning and Development, Communication, or a related field.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on training delivery.
Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn technical information quickly.
Must have good judgment skills, demonstrating strong work ethic and dependability.
Experience in an instructional design or technical writer role.
Experience designing and developing ILT/eLearning materials (Note: A work sample will be requested as part of the hiring process).
Possess the knowledge or skills needed to setup the classroom environment for training purposes.
Experience using multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learners and outcomes.
Able to explain complex topics to a range of learner levels - novice to advanced.
Familiarity with adult learning theories.
Strong intellectual curiosity.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree:
3+ years' experience designing, developing and implementing training curriculum for a software-based solution.
Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of programming languages (i.e., Scala, Java, Node.JS, or similar).
Knowledge of microservice architectures (i.e. docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, 12 factor apps).
