The East Bay Municipal Utility District’s (EBMUD) Information Systems Department is currently seeking a Senior Information Technology Engineer who is process-oriented, proactive, motivated, and an energetic team player with experience in network security and systems. Currently, one position is available in the IT Security Division, part of the Information Systems Department.
We are seeking candidates with advanced IT Security experience and skills. Experience is desired in three or more of the following disciplines:
• Experience implementing and auditing CIS and/or NIST controls
• Endpoint Detection and Response
• Next Gen Firewall technology
• IT security architecture
• Cybersecurity Incident Response
• AWS cloud security
• Azure AD- Identity and Access Management
The most competitive candidates for the Senior IT Security Engineer position will possess strong working knowledge of IT security concepts and principles; information security control frameworks; information security audit principles; third party risk management; IT security tools; and project management principles and practices. In addition, a current security certification such as CISSP, CISA or GIAC is desirable.
Your experience will include demonstrated success working in the following areas:
• Experience defining and updating IT security policy and procedures to align with information security framework.
• Evaluating and mitigating third party IT Security risk.
• Evaluating compliance to IT security controls.
• IT Security architecture best practices
