Pace Academy of Cypress is an after-school tutoring center in need of mathetmatics tutors/teachers. We are looking for applicants who can work during our after-school tutoring program. Classes for the program will be in the afternoons, Monday through Friday, from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. Applicants must be able to work these hours on any days available. We are looking for certified teachers, college graduates and college students from any major, especially English, math, the sciences, or history, and who are tenacious and have a lot of patience. College students must have at least a sophomore standing in school and be available to work during the hours listed.
Job Description:
Mathematics tutors are needed for various grades (3rd-12th). Tutors will not have to prepare his/her own curriculum, all materials will be provided. You will tutor each student in a one-on-one or small group setting, and being able to teach in a group lecture format is a plus. Some classroom management will be needed.
Teaching Hours:
Fall Program: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Pay rate:
Open to negotiation; based on experience and qualifications

Note:
For the application/interview, please allow yourself about 1 hour for this process. You will have to complete a short diagnostic test as part of the application process. This test is only to determine which grade level we feel would be the best fit. There may be an interview after the application process is complete if the director is available.
