Responsibilities: Must be able to perform AutoCAD Design in support of the electrical Project Managers; Electrical Load Calculations, Voltage Drop Calculations, Title 24 Energy Calculations, Photometric Calculations and size, select, specify and layout electrical distribution and lighting equipment (switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, transformers, etc.)
Must also understand electrical design and construction codes and principles sufficiently to coordinate the electrical design work with other disciplines. Additional duties will include, shop drawing reviews, responding to contractor requests for information, performing field surveys and preparing field observation reports. A fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code is essential.
Qualifications: 5 years of experience in the design of electrical distribution systems for commercial, hotel/hospitality, institutional, and/or industrial facilities. Must be AutoCAD and computer literate and proficient with MS Word and Excel.
