We are a rapid growing company specializing in raw, organic, plant based. gluten-free, handcrafted food bars for patients. We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager/Chef who’s interested in being a part of our vision and passion of providing healthy, conscious, real food to patients. You will have the chance to learn new techniques while honing your basic skills. Must have a passion for food service and a desire to want to be part of an amazing and unique program. From initial innovation down to final production our food products are created with our patient/consumer in mind. We are looking for a team player who is reliable! learns fast, works hard, takes pride in their work and most importantly wanting to help those who are struggling with health.

Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness and appearance standards; including, but not limited to keep kitchen clean, sweep and mop floors; take out trash, compost, and recycling keeping them separate and organized

Take ownership of kitchen

Must be reliable and on-time! We do NOT tolerate people who are late

MUST take direction and follow instructions

Be the point person for health department and certification programs

Follow recipes to ensure consistency in product

Create our handcrafted food products

Assists with ordering of food supplies and non-food supplies

Keep track of inventory and alert manager when low

Control waste through proper calculation of ordering and production

Offer relevant, well-thought out ideas and suggestions for improving operations

Prep food and practice proper food sanitation practices

Ability to adhere to strict grooming standards established by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Ability to recognize and utilize weights and measurements, both liquid and dry

Skilled in volume production and hands-on production

Ability to perform basic math functions necessary to execute recipes

Responsible for overall production

Memorize Recipes

Pick up materials and supplies when needed

Requirements AND ARE MUST HAVES:

ServSafe Food Manager Handler Certificate is required DO NOT APPLY if you do not have this! You will NOT be considered.

General knowledge of the care and safe usage of food service equipment and kitchen utensils

Must possess a strong desire in working hard and meeting time lines is essential to this role

Must have 2 years of recent experience

Know and obey all food requirements of Health Code

Wash hands frequently, ware hairnet and gloves and maintain a clean apron

Work quickly and efficiently, following all safety procedures.

Work is repetitive standing, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting.

Regularly required to lift more than 25 pounds unassisted

Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms

Dependable

Good sense of humor

Other duties as assigned
