Scratch Bakery Cafe located in Laguna Hills is seeking experienced cooks to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our kitchen. We are a high volume kitchen. Must be able to operate efficiently managing multiple orders at any given time. Shifts are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Must be available on weekends. Please do not apply if you are not available between all hours listed or on weekends.
Responsibilities:
Prepare all served food
Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
Follow standard recipes
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Assist in putting away vendor orders and stocking as needed.
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
Qualifications:
MUST speak and read English.
Previous experience cooking in restaurants with emphasis on breakfast and lunch.
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
Strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well in teams
