Job Description:

We're looking for team members that have great attention to detail. You should have experience cooking meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as preparing and portion food products prior to cooking. You must also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking. (Japanese cuisine preferred)

Current CA Food Handler's Card

Satisfactory communication skills

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds

Be able to work in a standing position for long period of time

Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits

Job Duties:

Responsible for timely food preparation and ensure the highest quality at all times

Keep all kitchen areas clean and hygienic in compliance with health codes

Adhere to all the standards of food handling, production, portioning and presentation

Maintain and improve cooking skills and speed

Maintain good organization of all items inside refrigerators and on shelves, including storage room

Work as a team player to provide and receive help to enhance operations

Carry out any other duties assigned by Head Chef or Sous Chef

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.00 to $16.00 /hour DoE
