Requirements of the Dental Hygienist
Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required (bachelors preferred)
Current state license
Excellent verbal communication skills
Comfortable working with children preferred
Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
Current CPR certification required
Responsibilities of the Dental Hygienist
Collect medical and dental histories from patients
Chart dental conditions based on observations and evaluations
Provide optimum care for patients
Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care
Sterilize dental instruments
