** Independent Optometry office inside Costco. Optometry service only. No glasses or contact lens sale.
Office hours:
Monday-Friday: 10-7PM
Saturday: 9:30-5PM
Sunday: 12-4PM
** Part-time front desk/administrative assistant or office manager position is available immediately. Up to 32 hours per week, with alternate weekends. Potential full-time in the future.
We are looking for an experienced person who is familiar with computer and Electronic Medical Record (EMR.) We stress customer service and patient satisfaction. A candidate must be friendly, compassionate, detail-oriented, multi-task, efficient, proactive, quick learning, a team player and problem solver. A candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
** Front office tasks include:
- Meet, greet, and provide instructions to patients.
- Answer phone, respond to patients' emails, schedule and follow up appointments.
- File charts, prepare exam room, and organize office and stock office supplies.
- Balance daily cash register at the end of your shift
- Verify benefits and bill insurances
- Use EMR program and basic optometric pre-test equipment. Will train.
- Assist patients with contact lens wear. Will train.
** Office Manager tasks include front office tasks above, plus:
- Organize and maintain office flow to increase efficiency and grow patient base.
- Provide administrative support to doctors, staff members and patients
- Dispute resolution.
- Possess a good computer and basic network trouble- shooting skills to ensure smooth office operation.
- Spanish speaking is helpful.
