Veterinary Technician - Part Time
Happy Tails Animal Hospital is a very busy 1 doctor general practice (dog & cat exclusive) in a cozy residential neighborhood in West Garden Grove, California. We are looking for a dependable individual who is focused on delivering excellent client and patient care. We strive for boutique styled concierge service for our clients and offer exceptional standards of medical care with sincere compassion for our patients. Experience in veterinary medicine is REQUIRED. Applicants need to be team players, work well in a fast-paced environment, able to multi-task, communicate effectively with verbal and written and electronic typed skills, and most importantly enjoy a fun and lively workplace. Applicants need to be proficient in venipuncture, dentistry, radiographic technique & positioning among other veterinary nursing skills. Technicians are expected to be able to efficiently and accurately complete doctor orders and provide effective client communication and education.
We enjoy training and mentoring at all levels for more than just the basic job duties. Saturday availability required. Our Hospital is open Tuesday Saturday. Background screens and previous employment verification will be performed. We encourage both licensed and non-licensed Technicians to apply.
Responsibilities:
Provide information and explanation about the products and services we provide
Triage routine, urgent, and emergency situations
Patient restraint, diagnostic sample collection, & diagnostic interpretation
Administer in-patient and hospitalized patient care
Anesthetic monitoring and surgical assisting
Perform dental prophylaxis
Qualifications:
Previous experience in veterinary medicine
Ability to build rapport with clients and deliver personable interactions
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Positive and professional demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
