Die Cutter Assistant - Paid Training Program
If you are looking for an opportunity to learn a trade in the growing and highly compensated packaging manufacturing and packaging engineering field, this is the position!
This position will assist Die Cutter Operators and help maximize the efficiency of the die cutting department.
What you’ll be doing:
Assist the Die Cutter Operator by placing all needed materials at the die cutter machine
Assist Operator with make-ready and to fill in and run the die cutter when applicable
Pull and file die boards
Assist in the creation and modification of die boards
Process materials after die cutting is completed
Must be able to read and understand job tickets for specific job instructions
Follow company procedures and participate in process improvements
Help perform basic preventative maintenance
Operate an electric pallet jack
Cross-train in other job functions and help perform other miscellaneous tasks when needed, such as palletizing, hand loading product, assist with shrink or heat wrapping, or stripping paper when needed
What are we looking for?
Previous machine operator or helper experience, preferred
Must have basic math (read and understand metric and standard measurements) and basic computer skills
Ability to work weekends and overtime if needed
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Mechanical aptitude, preferred
High School Graduate/GED, preferred
Must demonstrate good attendance and punctuality
Must be able to cooperate with co- workers and supervisors and be able to work as a team
Maintain a clean and organize work area
Ability to lift, pull and push 75 lbs
Must be able to stand during the duration of their shift, up to 12 hours.
