Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, on rotation for 24-hour on-call

Supervisor responsibilities include:

- Day-to-day operations of Sexual Assault Victim Services Rape Crisis Center, supervising staff and interns

- Respond to victims of sexual assault and their families to mitigate the impact of victimization and/or the case investigation and court appearance. Collaborate with law enforcement, forensic nurse specialist, and other community partners to improve local SART response, and help improve/facilitate local SART meetings

- Work in partnership with law enforcement to provide crisis intervention, case management, and accompaniment services to hospital, court, detention facilities, and law enforcement agencies as needed

- Foster relationships with community agencies to create awareness of our services, and educate on sexual assault

- Assist with 24-hour rape crisis hotline and responsibilities

Supervisor requirements include:

- Bachelors Degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field. Supervising experience preferred

- Experience working with people in a human services setting

- Knowledge of victims rights and criminal justice system

- Knowledge of community resources a plus

- Ability to successfully work with collaborative partners

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills

- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations

- Must be available to be on rotation for 24-hour response and emergency calls

- Must pass background investigation

- Must complete Sexual Assault Counselor certification training as mandated by PC13835.10 in the first year of employment

- Valid California drivers license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a satisfactory driving record
