Job description
I will be training you to become a home and commercial building inspector and mold inspector, primarily for real estate transactions. You will be assisting me with on-site building inspections that require a focus on all of the major systems of the building, including structure, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and pools.
You will learn defect recognition and the technical understanding of these systems, as well as the communication and inter-personal skills required to explain found defects and system components to clients and real estate agents in easy to understand language.
Having some understanding of one or more of the major building systems, and/or some work experience in one of the construction trades will be beneficial, but not required.
You must be physically fit, with the ability to carry a Little Giant ladder up three flights of stairs.
You must speak and understand English.
The job is Monday thru Saturday, but is dependent on the real estate market. That usually translates to half a day off here and there throughout any given week.
In order to keep up with the commitments of the job, you must live in, or immediately adjacent to, Orange County, California. You must have a reliable vehicle in order to maintain the travel to all cities within Orange and adjacent counties.
