Position Overview:
This is a new business development position, otherwise known as outside sales. Sir Speedy Printing & Signs in Irvine continues to grow and now has an opening for a Business Account Executive that will be responsible for acquiring and supporting the print, sign and marketing needs of business-to-business clients. Some of the activities of the position include qualifying leads, sales appointments, proposal presentations and follow-up. The ability to use technology including computers, the internet, social media, and email are integral to the role. You will be required to make phone calls to people you do not know, you must be willing to call and call and call again. Seriously, if you are not willing to follow-up you should not apply.
Success in this position will require you to create business conversations with complete strangers; many of whom won’t want to talk to you; it is not easy. The right candidate has experience in B2B sales, new account development and account management. Important traits will include being energetic, positive, self-motivated, detailed oriented and a strong people person. Background in print, signage, marketing, direct mail, and promotional products is a plus.

The Important Stuff You Must Have:
Willingness to pick up the phone and call someone, then call again and then make another call; you must talk on the phone to people and initiate conversations
Be a good communicator - in person and on the phone, have the ability to compose professional emails
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, CRM platforms
Enjoy multi-tasking - we do a lot in a short amount of time
Must be willing to jump in and figure things out on your own
You must be a life-long learner to work here. Lots to learn and it is always changing
Big Pluses If You Have:
Have experience selling in a B2B environment
Any kind of graphic design or past print experience
A background in the sign industry
Understanding of direct mail and the data that drives it
