The Plumbing Estimator/ Project Manager is an integral part of the construction process. This position is responsible for accurate plumbing estimates to insure competitiveness, profitability and growth and the ability to run the work that needs to be completed. Applicant needs to be self starter, with a focus and commitment to excellence. A Plumbing Construction background is essential for this position, someone who came up in the ranks and understands the plumbing trade i.e.; plumber turned estimator / project manager would be ideal.
Job Duties:
Preparation of complete labor and material estimates based on service technician requirements
Preparation of bid documents, the development of clear written proposals an correspondence
Preparation of change orders
Data entry
Close coordination with VP of Plumbing
Additional duties as determined by VP of Plumbing and or COO
Client Relations
Requirements:
2+ years as an Plumbing Estimator/Project Management
Experience with public/commercial/retail/big box Plumbing Construction Project estimates
Depth of knowledge with a wide variety plumbing materials and methods of installation
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work independently as well as part of the team
Read and understand civil, architectural, structural, etc. plans and specifications as they relate to the plumbing work.
Knowledge of plumbing and local codes
Computer literate in common MS Word and Excel
Ability to do basic layout & drawings
