JOB SUMMARY
This position will work in the Heart of the House doing timely deliveries and pick-up of goods to/from pre-determine sties (company departments, customers, vendors), on specific routes and receiving and tracking all merchandise from vendors for company and maintaining various inventories. This will include reviewing orders prior to receiving and delivering, loading and unloading items in a secure, health code compliant and efficient manner.
REQUIREMENTS
Valid CA drivers license and clean driving record A MUST
Owns reliable transportation
Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test
Willing to travel around Southern California
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
High school diploma or previous work experience
Basic math and computer skills (literacy in Microsoft Office Word & Excel).
Self-motived with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors)
PRIMARY DUTIES
Receiving: receive vendor orders and log inventory received. Transport items from receiving to appropriate departments. Reconcile orders packing slips against purchase orders.
Receiving: code and correctly handle invoicing including but not limited to matching invoices to packing slips, coding and working with accounting to get the invoices paid correctly and on time.
Errands: deliver & pick-up orders for departments, customers and vendors on assigned routes.
Errands: pack, load and unload goods from vehicles per company policy specs.
Errands: manage and track the distribution of merchandise and equipment within company and external entities (client orders, vendor pickups) using internal errands calendars.
Errands: review deliveries with key stakeholders to ensure inventory and supplies meets their needs (i.e., delivery of paper goods & kitchen towels to shop)
Maintain ongoing communication with departments to verify receiving and errands task scheduled for pickups and deliveries are met.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports directly to the Logistics & Operations Events Supervisor.
PAY & ESTIMATED WORK HOURS:
Hourly rate: $12.25 - $13.50/hour
Part-time
April-Sept: 20-35 hours
Oct-Mar: 15-25 hour
Primary days of the week: Mons, Tues, Weds, Fridays. Thursdays and occasional weekends flexibility required during high season Spring & Summer.
