Job Details

As a Product Analytics Lead, you will be the primary thought partner to product, engineering, and operations leaders on everything data. You will be integral to the end-to-end product development process and customer journey, from informing product requirements to evaluating the impact of our products post-launch. Most importantly, you'll help to drive a culture of product development in which our teams are endlessly curious, ask great questions, and are reliably able to answer these questions quickly, easily, and accurately.

More broadly, as one of the early analytics hires at a fast growing company, you will be instrumental in creating a data-driven culture not just for the product team, but for us as a whole. You, along with Data Engineering and sibling analytics teams, will be responsible for shaping data and analytics infrastructure to scale with our company and embedding data-driven thinking into the fabric of how major decisions are made.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will:
Partner with product teams to advise on product direction and strategy, roadmaps, feature prioritization, metrics and goals, feature prioritization, and user journeys, and to accelerate decision making
Lead advanced, ad-hoc analytics projects to understand user behavior and long-term trends to identify opportunities for improving user acquisition, engagement, experience, value, and retention
Develop and improve analytics infrastructure, including evaluation and selection of new tools, in partnership with Data Engineering and sibling analytics teams
Manage the design, implementation, and evaluation of experiments and develop and socialize a rigorous culture of experimentation across all product teams
Define North Star metrics for our product and customer success teams, and develop reporting and self-serve experiences to guarantee consistent and efficient access to these metrics
Play a foundational role in building a data culture by defining standards and practices for how product, engineering, and operations teams work with data and providing a strong, data-informed point of view on important decisions
Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to ensure proper tracking and instrumentation of new product initiatives and features
Become an expert on blockchain analytics, enterprise software, and the crypto ecosystem

We're excited about you because you have:
8+ years of relevant work experience in quantitative roles across analytics, data science, product, consulting, and finance
Strong product and business intuition. You contextualize how analytics fit into broader business goals, and know what questions we should be asking to build products that users love
Excellent problem-solving skills. You can translate the needs of business into a compelling analytics roadmap that will generate actionable insights for partner teams
Strong analytical foundation. You can use SQL to query large data sets, design and interpret the results of an A/B test, and apply a range of statistical and analytical methods to interpret different sources of data
Passion for drawing the right conclusions from complex data and translating your findings into actionable recommendations
Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and operations leaders and build trusted relationships as their front-line analytics partner
Ability to partner with Data Engineering and other analytics teams to develop data and analytics infrastructure, including evaluation of new tools, systems, and processes
Excellent communication skills. You can crisply communicate valuable, data-driven insights to all audiences
Excellent prioritization and project management skills. You are excellent at deciding what to work on and how to maximize the impact of your work
Passion for teaching and evangelizing data-driven approaches across teams, and developing scalable ways for product, engineering, and operations teams to use data more effectively
You are an extraordinarily fast learner. You have the natural curiosity and intellectual horsepower to deeply understand new topics and pick up new skills in a very short time
You are scrappy and resourceful. When something needs to get done, you always find a way to make it happen.
Expert proficiency in SQL and competency in at least one scripting or statistical programming language such as Python or R (or ability to quickly ramp up)
Fluency with data, analytics, and business intelligence tools such as Looker and MixPanel (or ability to quickly ramp up)
Experience in other database technologies like dbt and Fivetran (or ability to quickly ramp up)
Prior experience at a rapidly growing tech company and/or in enterprise software preferred
MBA and/or degree in quantitative field preferred
