The candidate will report to the Manager of the Vehicle and Missions Systems, and the position will be located in Palmdale, CA.Essential Functions:Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts
Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information
Qualifications:This requisition may be filled at either a Contract Admin level or a Principal Contract Admin levelBasic Qualifications for Contract Admin:Bachelor's degree with 3 years of contracts, proposals, and/or business management related experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of stated experience
Experience with contract negotiations
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)
Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Admin:Bachelor's degree with 6 years of contracts, proposals, and/or business management related experience, or a Master's degree with 4 years of stated experience
Experience with contract negotiations
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)
Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with proposals, pricing, project management
SAP knowledge
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
Experience with various contract types, including Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price, and Fixed Price Incentive
Experience as a Contracts Administrator in the defence industry
