La Quinta Baking Company is looking to add a new member to our breakfast team! As the cashier you are the first and final impression that customers have of our restaurant so this role is crucial to our growing team. We are looking for positive, professional, and energetic candidates who can handle multiple tasks with a smile.
Responsibilities:
-Greet and seat guests, while managing a waitlist.
-Welcome and thank guests with a positive attitude
-Operate our point of sale system in order to be able to enter orders and cash out guests.
-Take all walk-in, to-go and phone orders and enter them in the point of sale system
-Setting up displays and pastry case,condiment station setup, and front of house setup
-Package to-go bakery items for guests
-Help servers run food and clear tables
-Performs duties of cashier such as operation and cash flow, verify initial cash, and answer phone
-Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in your workspace environment
-Work in a fast-paced environment
-Performs opening and closing shift duties as needed, assisting with cleaning and restocking, etc.
For this position, the shift begins at 8:30AM and must be available on weekends. Pay is $18.00/hr. plus cash tips.
Requirements:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 40 lbs several times a day
Previous experience in a high volume restaurant setting is preferred
Flexibility to work early mornings starting at 8:00AM
Weekend and holiday availability is required
At least 16 years of age
Authorized to work in the US
