POSITION: The Boat Club Restaurant - Floor Manager

REPORTS TO: F & B Director

STATUS: Full time/ Year round

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Floor Manager position is responsible for leading the Boat Club service staff and serving as Manager On Duty. Key to the effective performance of this role is understanding guest expectations, high levels of guest service, the flow of business through the restaurant, and how to integrate guest wishes with the needs and requirements of the kitchen and serving staff.

The Floor Manager position is accountable for effective management coverage of the AM and PM service staff operations as required, and for competent, capable and effective support of the Management team as directed.

The Floor Manager position role is required to function in a highly self-directed way, maintaining a strong working relationship with the others on the management team, and providing support to the service staff to ensure our guests have an exemplary dining experience.

The Floor Manager will lead ongoing training and coaching of team members.

The Floor Manager is responsible for modeling our core values and charges; contributing to the fulfillment business objectives across the business unit; and to collaborate with other Restaurant Managers in the fulfillment of our shared mission.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Two Years experience in a service leadership role in a similar level of restaurant

Prior experience in a fast pace high volume environment restaurant

Strong functional knowledge of Open Table

Strong computer skills

Excellent verbal and written skills

Strong creative problem-solving skills

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Experience of using Open Table

Warm, engaging personality that projects professional confidence and calm

Strong floor presence with guests and staff and guest

High regard for guest and employee relations

SCHEDULE / HOLIDAYS/ PTO:

The Floor Manager is expected to normally keep a 5 day a week schedule, but adjusted as needed according to business need, and be available in the event of an emergency. A work week of 45 to 50 hours per week can be expected, however it can be more or less depending on the business needs of the Lodge. Working AM and PM shifts is required, as is working weekends and holidays.
