Overview:
Position consists of general heavy equipment operation for construction. The ideal candidate for this position should have some mini-excavator experience as well as backhoe experience. The operator should have some skill digging and operating around existing underground utilities and be able to take the necessary safety and job precautions.Â
Responsibilities:
Able to review and know all locate identifiers
Operating backhoe/Mini excavators digging trenches, setting hand holes, and Manholes.
Some labor work as needed (shoveling, trenching)
Maintaining truck and equipment cleanliness, inside & outside along with all preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years old to drive company vehicles/operate equipment
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's license is required.
Must be able to effectively communicate with crew.
Be available to work overtime and emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Maintain a positive attitude with team.
Maintain good public relations (interact with the public in a courteous manner).
Must have reliable transportation.
Basic ability to use small tools/hand tools.
Must have strong physical endurance for hot weather conditions, repetitive bending, stooping, lifting, transferring equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
Must pass company drug testing.
Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by company as required.Â
