Sunrise Company has seasonal (November-May) on-call and ful- time openings for Estheticians at Toscana Country Club, a private equity golf club and luxury residential community located in Indian Wells, California. As the energetic social hub of the Toscana Community, the country club offers a truly private setting where members will enjoy camaraderie, relaxation and sport with friends and family, and an incomparable level of attention and service from our staff. The community features two 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses, a 90,000-square-foot Club Villa featuring an exceptional array of private club and spa and sport club amenities.
Basic Purpose of the Job: To assist with Members’ comfort in a courteous and professional manner while performing facials and/or body treatments. Direct all efforts towards Member acknowledgement, satisfaction, safety, and proper technical procedures
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1.) Responsible for the performance of all facials, waxing and body services on the menu performed under the criteria the trainers of the services have outlined.
2.) Analyze, consult and recommend products by thoroughly filling out a prescription card each time a service is performed. Sales in retail should not fall within 0-8% for consecutive weeks.
3.) Utilize empowerment to satisfy members on the spot without a hassle. Assist in finding the ultimate cause for Members problems and institute change.
4.) Practice anticipation of Members needs by being presently aware of the Member while in each treatment.
5.) Demonstrate complete and thorough procedures for setting up and breaking down your assigned treatment room.
6.) Utilize exceptional hospitality by: Picking up Members on time for services, delivering the full time of service to members.
7.) Inform managers of ways to improve:
a.) The overall operation of the Spa & Sports Club.
b.) Your working conditions.
c.) The comfort of our Members.
8.) Help around the spa: Folding and stocking linen, maintenance of rooms, picking up trash, upkeep of locker rooms.
9.) Read and sign all SOP’s and Memos. Comply with protocols and procedures.
10.) A spirit of teamwork. Willingly accepts additional responsibilities and tasks.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
State License is mandatory which entails hours as a Cosmetician or Cosmetologist. Agreement in learning body treatments, flexibility with schedule (with weekend availability required). Hospitality experience is also a requirement.
NEEDED ATTRIBUTES:
Do what it takes attitude, willing to work extended hours and deal professionally with staff and Members. The ability to communicate verbal and written information. A common-sense approach in conveying ideas, responsibilities and policies with members and employees. Problem solving skills a must and a great sense of humor is essential. The ability to smooth over problems and create a sense of satisfaction to the member and employees.
COMPENSATION
$14/hour plus 55% of service and gratuities and tips. Company offers a 401(k) plan and sick pay.
