Ozzie’s Automotive is a busy, full-service repair shop serving Palm Desert and surrounding areas. We handle everything from simple oil changes to advanced diagnostics, electrical repairs, drivetrain work, and A/C service.
We’re looking for a skilled, motivated Automotive Technician to join our growing team! If you take pride in quality work, have strong diagnostic abilities, and enjoy a positive shop environment, we want to meet you.
Shop Hours:
- Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
- Closed for Lunch 12pm - 1pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on both foreign and domestic vehicles
- Work on brakes, suspension/steering, wheel/tire service and alignments
- Handle engine, transmission, drivetrain, and differential work when needed
- Perform fluid services: oil, coolant, transmission, brake, power-steering flushes
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems (lights, wiring, battery/alternator, sensors) and fuel/engine issues
- Service A/C and HVAC systems (diagnostics, refrigerant recharge, electrical systems)
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment correctly and safely
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about issues and repair needs
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and document work properly
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician working on foreign and domestic vehicles
- Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and fuel/engine systems
- Experience with brakes, suspension, drivetrain, engine/fuel, A/C, electrical, fluid services
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Good communication skills and customer-service mindset
- Organized, professional, respectful of shop and customer vehicles
Bonus:
ASE certification; prior A/C, fuel-system, or transmission work; experience with wide range of makes and models.
