BEM Production Support Engineering Manager

This job initially reports up through Maxar (Palo Alto), but will transition into a Sanmina (San Jose) role in late 2022.

The organization teams with Maxar Design Engineering to transition products from development to flight production. It also teams with Test, Product Assurance and Assembly in maintaining production quality, schedule and financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a group of 15 to 20 Engineers, that support the production of complex Spacecraft Controls, Power, Propulsion and Data Handling Electronic hardware


Minimum Requirements:
  • Must =
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following required: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering; 4 additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience including Electronics Theory, as well as, Power and Controls Test Measurement/Manufacturing
  • At least 2 years of management experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant experience including Power and Controls Test Measurement/Manufacturing
  • Familiarity with satellite design and testing obtained through educational training and/or on-the-job experience in a related field.
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong collaboration, written and communication skills.
  • 5 years of relevant management experience
