The main function of the developer is to develop and design Big Data applications using Spark/Scala, Java in a Big Data (Hadoop) environment. The developer will be responsible for enhancing an existing application and integrate it with internal enterprise application. The developer should have had hands-on experience developing large scale data pipeline (ETL) applications. The developer will enhance system interfaces, enhance existing APIs in Java, SpringBoot and be familiar with applications built on top of RDBMS like MySql and DB2. Large scale data processing experience is required.Education/Experience
o Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required
o 7+ years experience requiredResponsibility level

o Expert ability to work independently and manage ones time (Required)
o Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of SQL required.
o Expert knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models (Required)
o Experience working in an Agile environment using JIRA required
o Expert knowledge of computer software, such as Spark, Scala, Java, SQL, Hive, Shell scripting, SpringBoot, Databases like MySQL, DB2, API development etc. (Required)
o Strong experience in unit testing and following SDLC processes is required.Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Design and develop software to enhance enterprise applications built on Big Data Tech stack (Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Scala)
o Build ETL pipelines to facilitate large volume of asynchronous data exchange between applications
o Build callback APIs to interface with Enterprise applications using Java and associated API technologies.
o Triage data issues, system problems during unit, integration testing and provide post deployment support.
o Review problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and make system enhancements/fixes to correction of problem
