Responsibilities: The QA Engineer is directly responsible for timely testing and certification of company products. The primary responsibilities include the following:
Build automated tests to validate application functionality, data flows, and APIs
Drive test automation and contribute to test framework development
Responsible for learning and participating in all phases of the software development life cycle
Develop manual and automated tests, generate test data, execute tests, gather detailed results and analyze test outcomes
Track issues in defect tracking system and participate in review meetings
Play a key part in developing innovative software in an agile environment
Maintain high standard of quality for test code, documentation, and other deliverables
Adhere to industry best practices and contribute to internal coding standards
Support Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Regulatory functions
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus four (4) years of related experience.
Experience must include:
Software tester interacting with delivery teams, business, and software development organizations
Software testing techniques and test case development
Determine optimal test cases required for various testing needs (functional, regression, integration, End to end testing)
Create SQL queries
4 years development and/or test automation experience
Selenium/Java/Jenkins/Cucumber/GitHub
Test web services/backend components (SOAP UI)
Object oriented concepts
Work as a member of an Agile Delivery Team and perform delivery tasks including development, test, business analysis, and release engineering
Software security and performance engineering concepts
Good knowledge with internet technologies
Good knowledge of relational database concepts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability as a problem solver
Working knowledge in security and performance
Working knowledge in continuous integration/deployments
Experience with financial or tax systems is highly desirable
