Qualifications:

• Education: Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• EPIC Preferred

• Experience:. At least 1 year of Clinical Assistant, Scheduling or Medical Assistant
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of and ability to use and apply medical terminology in performing his/her duties.
  • Knowledge of coding and billing regulations.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job.

Responsibilities:

Administrative duties

• Answers multi-line phone, screens and routes calls
• Manages front desk
• Scheduling COVID Vaccine and Testing appointments
• Door screening (taking temperature and asking questions)
• Insurance verification
• Scheduled and edits patient physician appointments
• Greets patients
• Collects patient demographic and insurance data
• Collects posts and co-pays
• Files and retrieves chart documents
