DescriptionIf you are eager to start a career as an Accounting Clerk, Accountemps is searching for an experienced candidate to fill the position for a well-respected company in the wholesale distribution - dur goods industry. Serving in this role, you will be responsible for multiple forms of data entry, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and playing an integral role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary-to-full-time position located in the Pleasanton, California area.Major responsibilitiesCode documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Report financial facts to journals and ledgers
Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance
Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
Deep understanding of data entry
NetSuite experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system
