The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Technical Lead in Digital Marketing, Web Analytics Platform. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.

Position Purpose

This role requires the candidate to lead the design, development, and testing of Web Analytics implementations within Albertson's web and mobile content, application, and eCommerce platforms. The candidate also needs to be able to support and maintain the web analytics capabilities for the content and back-end data warehouse platforms. Candidates with strong conceptual understanding of Web Analytics in general and hands-on experience in Adobe Analytics with exposure to Google Analytics in particular, are encouraged to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for leading the technical team assigned to a project, on-shore, off-shore and/or near-shore through all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborates with the Enterprise Architect (EA) and Solution Architects, business and the project team to understand business requirements and strategies, define business critical KPIs, ensures completeness of requirements and create suitable software solutions to support those needs.
  • Leads and provides technical guidance in the design & development of Adobe Analytics solution & technical implementation documentation for web and app platforms.
  • Build and execute tagging test cases to ensure that the appropriate metrics are being collected by Adobe Analytics and fed into the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Ensure data accuracy with on-going QA, audits and data integrations across internal teams, multiple systems, technologies and external vendor tools and applications.
  • Administer the Adobe Analytics product from top to bottom - variables, processing rules, classifications, marketing channels, data feeds, Mobile Services, etc.
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to develop & implement new data and analytics capabilities and tools
  • Lead collaboration sessions among IT and business groups to facilitate optimal tagging, reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Provide a leadership role in the evaluation and use of web analytics capabilities that allow Safeway to maximize insights into the use and effectiveness of its digital platforms.
  • Demonstrate an instrumental role in the implementation and adoption of web capabilities such as testing, targeting, and personalization.
  • Administer the Adobe Admin Console privileges for all Users and User Groups for Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe DTM & Launch.
  • Use Agile SCRUM to deliver solutions with high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Foster a culture of innovation in the team and encourage creative solutions.


Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field).
  • 10+ years HTML, JavaScript, Web Service, Analytics, Tagging and/or OOP experience and developing or supporting J2EE eCommerce web applications.
  • 2+ years using Adobe DTM, Launch or Tealium for web tagging, report generation, and data feeds is mandatory.
  • Experience with Adobe / Omniture suite of products is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce and web technology development practices, technology, and tooling is required, including system flow analysis, debug of web logs, and web client troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience providing guidance, training and mentoring to developers and designers on solutions and design experience influencing team members, other architects and management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to quickly diagnose complex production issues, debugging/testing tagging on Mobile and Web Platforms.
  • Experience writing SQL queries, creating and maintaining reports a plus.
  • Knowledge of Base SAS 9.4, SAS Macros, PROCS, and Statistical Modeling is desirable and good to have.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality solutions and platforms.
  • Working ability to identify architecturally significant requirements and their ramifications.
  • In depth knowledge and experience integrating applications across diverse technical platforms.
