DescriptionIdentify issues and resolve problems in this stimulating Assistant Controller position. This role would be best suited for candidates who consider themselves a self-starter. One of the Assistant Controller's tasks include supervising the accounting staff and reporting updates to the Controller. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Rancho Cucamonga, California area. Extra assignments if necessary
Set up various technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
Drive accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Secure regular account reconciliation to completion
Direct to ensure a competent, trained staff through goal setting, development, and regular assessment
Direct the accounting team during the closing process to secure deadlines are met
Backfill for Controller as provided
experienced preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Construct relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, the monthly flash report, and key financial metrics
Endorse implementation and confirm adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Help with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Analyze and create Ad Hoc financial reports
RequirementsExtraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Profound knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Foundational knowledge in Inventory Transaction
Good understanding of inventory extensions
Foundational knowledge in Annual Inventory
General familiarity with Fixed Asset Inventory
Solid understanding of Inventory Reports
Quality experience with inventory analysis
Well-founded grasp of Inventory Variance
Practical knowledge of inventory
Hands-on experience with Inventory Reconciliation
Previous experience working with Inventory Investment
Solid understanding of Inventory Reserves
Annual Physical Inventory experience highly desired
Wide ranging experience with Inventory Audits
Comprehension of Inventory Planning
Proven knowledge of Asset Inventory
Well-founded grasp of Equipment Inventory
Deep understanding of Inventory Tracking
Experience with inventory planning & reporting
Skills in inventory management
Cost accounting experience desired
Proven knowledge of Inventory Valuation
Prior experience with Inventory Records
Experience with Inventory Turnover
Inventory Targets experience required
Knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting
Strong familiarity with Standard Cost Accounting
Earlier work involving inventory controls
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Strong technical background in public accounting (GAAP)
CPA certification desired
Dynamic accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
