DescriptionRobert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a Manufacturing company that is seeking a results-oriented Controller. As the Controller, you will assist in supervising the accounting staff and report to the Controller. Exceptional preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Incite accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Support to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, regular assessment, and goal setting
Confirm regular account reconciliation to completion
Analyze and create Ad Hoc financial reports
Detect and prepare process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Compose diverse procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses
Support implementation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Backfill for Controller where appropriate
Help lead the accounting team during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Design relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and the monthly flash report
RequirementsNoteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Complete knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IIA standards
CPA an added bonus
Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
Expertise in Daily Cash Management
Monthly Financial Statements experience desired
Job costing experience preferred
Strong familiarity with direct costs
5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
