DescriptionRobert Half Management Resources is seeking for an interim Payroll Manager opportunity in the Construction/Contractor industry. You will manage all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration) in this contract Payroll Manager role. If you have the ability to streamline processes, offer remarkable customer service, and produce timely, right, and compliant payrolls, this role may be for you. If interested, please reach out with your resume to: diana.volynec@rhmr.comWhat you get to do every dayTaking the lead on pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies
Complete payroll analysis when needed
Monitor all internal and external audits
Present information and respond to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
Collaborate with other members of senior Finance leadership team
Recruit staff in addition to growing and leading a successful team
Run payroll operations and manage staff members
Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
Keep track of records and manage control systems to produce internal safeguards
Build upon current processes by recommending, leading, and working on a range of projects
Produce all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs, in addition to explaining pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensuring proper amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
RequirementsPrevailing wages experience or understanding of it
CPP certification beneficial, not required
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Previous experience working with payroll-related cloud-based technology solutions
Auditing experience
Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience desired
Comfortable with payroll applications
A candidate with strong interpersonal skills will be the best fit for this position
